What A Long Day...

I tell you, each day it gets harder and harder to wake up at 6:30 in the morning. My body just hates getting out of bed haha. Class was boring, as usual and afterwards I went straight to my dad's office to get some work done. I'm currently working three jobs...at my dad's office (administrative assistant), at the Prestonwood Country Club, and I am a photographer assistant to a Evan Pike who is a professional photographer here in NC.

After a few hours at the office, I had to head back home to get changed since I started my shift at the Club at three. The Club was a bit more crowded today than it has been in the past few days. Sometimes it got so slow I was dyinggg just standing there. Glad I'm home now:)

The highlight of my day was when I arrived home to a small package!!! Yayay!!! It was from my cousin in Japan who sells lingerie...to be more specific T/G-strings...super cute ones too;) She sent me a whole bunch and I am super excited. You can find the link to her website on my Favorites or Fashion Lovers Page!

I am seriously beat dead! My brain has been working way too long and my body is tired from standing all day long. Nevertheless, I have just received a text from my cousin asking me if I was ready...ummmmm oh ****. Totally forgot about going out tonight...actually didn't forget, just didn't think it was happening since I never got a text about plans. Anyways...I have to get going to get ready. I think we are going to Solas...? Not sure, but I shall let you know tomorrow! Hopefully I will survive!

Rain to Sunshine

Waking up to a rainy morning I'd say is tha hardest; especially if you know you have to go to class. I probably stayed in bed for an extra 15min debating whether or not to go to class. It was even worse when I stepped outside. It was down-pouring, and I was in sandals, jeans, a t-shirt, & a rain jacket. I could've easily ran back in to change and grab an umbrella, but I decided to be lazy and just deal with it.

Sitting by the pool
By the end of the day, well at least after my classes were over with, I was completely drenched and my feet were stained from wearing rainbows...wonderful start to my day. Luckily the rain died down and by the time I got home the sun started to peek out.

Work was canceled so I decided to lay out by the pool for a bit. The weather became so nice! Beautiful and not to hot; there was a nice breeze throughout the rest of the day.

#poolday #relaxing

Not too much going on today, but I did start my diet...officially. I say this everyday, but this time I'm serious. When I got back from Europe, I started making juice every morning, however, ever since classes started I haven't had any time in the mornings to make it so I decided to have it for dinner instead. I think this makes more sense though because I usually scarf down food for dinner and it should be the technically be the smallest meal of the day.
I drink the larger cup while my mom takes the smaller one
Cookie + my bunny case shadow:)

Having said that, I had my large glass of juice...only one downside. My sister decided to make chocolate chip cookies, so I had two...ahhhh my weakness! I need to work harder and get myself on track!
I couldn't resist the smell!

Not to exciting of a day, but I am back in NC...boo.
It has its goods and bads to it I guess.
I'm going to try to start making my set tonight (music).
Hopefully I can get some of that done tonight!

Happy Memorial Weekend!

What a long weekend I had...at least for me it was. My family from Japan who live in LA visited us for the weekend, as well as my friend Asae, whose basically like my older sister because I've known her for so long. She live in Greenville, SC and comes ever so often.
Asae & I <3
Both of my sis's with me:)
On Friday, we went shopping and we both ended up getting a dress from Express...check out the Fashion page to see the dress! While we were at the mall we dropped off her car to get the oil changed...and this is funny...she drives a Mercedes and we leave the car at Sears! My dad was going crazy when he heard this because who in the world takes their Mercedes to a Sears??? Hahahahahah Anyways they had no idea how to change the oil, saying there was no dipstick and yea. This was supposed to take 30 to 40min and ended up taking like 2 hours!
So bored that I pretended to be a tire saleswoman;)
While she was giving my number, I sneakily took a pic of them
.

In the meantime, Asae thought that the guy helping us looked cute and insisted that I give my number to him...ummm nooo. First off, I am not the type usually to just hand out my number, second, if anyone knows me, I am super picky, and third, I thought he was good-looking, but not for me. Plus he looked kinda young. Without looking she gave him my number! I actually didn't care though, because seriously, how many times does this end up working anyways.

Finally after about 2hrs just standing and laughing around, the cars ready to go. Later that night I get a text! Haha I was laughing my ass off, he's super sweet though, at least he seemed so. I didn't end up going out that night to meet up with him or anything, nor have I talked to him since then, but if something happens, I'll be sure to let you guys know!
Driving back from the mall, after hrs of waiting
On Saturday morning, we all head to the lake for some tubing. It was an absolute beautiful day, with the sun shining high and bright. Tubed for a bit and totally got flung off; my dads a bit crazy, but loads of fun! After a couple of hours on the lake, Asae and I go to Bojangles (Southern Fast Food) to grab lunch for everyone. We literally looked like fat asses coming out of there!

Later in the afternoon, we all just hung out by our pool and chilled for the rest of day.
Chilling in the pool
Sunday was a relaxing day as well. I sadly had to go to work and had to leave my family behind. Once I got back, I ate leftover dinner and when up to our game room where everyone was playing pool or domino's. I on the other hand was the DJ for the night! I had a blast, with my comp, music, and speakers. I am currently using "VirtualDJ" as I don't have all the equipment yet. I was probably playing music for like 2hrs straight. I never get tired when it comes to music; I literally could have played all night.

One of my all time fav songs:

Later that evening, we watched Double with Richard Gere. A suspenseful movie filled with action; really good if you're into action and mystery.

On Monday morning I had to go into work, since there was going to be a huge celebration at the pool for Memorial Day. I sadly had to say bye to everyone since they were all going back to LA in the afternoon. Work was fun though; extremely hot! I was sweating bullets.

My weekend was great overall. I enjoyed my time
with friends and family and hope everyone else
did too. Returning back to class after a three-day
weekend was dreadful, but I survived.
Tomorrow will be a long day!
Oh btw, my friend posted this quote on fb today, and
it made me feel a lot better...well it gave me
an outlook on life. I think I'm going to post it
somewhere where I can take a look
at it everyday to remind me of how hard I need to work
to get to where I want to go.
Have a great rest of your day!
Make sure to check out my new pages!

Last Day in Europe...

My Lovely Familia:)
Ever since I left Barcelona, I haven't felt the same. It feels like somethings missing. The Europe trip has been amazing of course, but now its time to go back to the states, which is not what I want at all.On the last day, we headed back to Frankfurt to get all packed up and ready to head home. The train ride back was the longest, making everything worse because all I could think about was Barcelona, my many experiences, and all the friends that I made that became to be my family.
BCN = Home Sweet Home
Once I finally arrived to Frankfurt, I headed to the hotel to drop off all the luggage. Our hotel was right by one of the most popular shopping streets 'Zeil', so my mom and headed that way to by a few last minute gifts for my siblings and friends. We stopped by my all-time favorite shops, Zara and Mango. I don't have either of these near me at home...what am I going to do! My whole wardrobe is Zara!...I guess I'm gonna have to travel to NYC;))
Papa & I on Zeil
Found a hiking bag as big as me
After a little shopping, we went to the top of a shopping mall called MyZeil. On the top floor there was a nice cafeteria where people could relax and have a nice drink.
Mami & I at MyZeil

Once we relaxed for a bit, we headed back to our hotel to have some dinner = Chinese; parents were a little tired of German food haha. The next day, our flight left from Frankfurt to London to Raleigh, NC....I so did not want to go home!!! I couldn't even talk. When we arrived to the airport at home...I practically cried! Who cries when you get home...especially when you haven't been back for 4 months...ummm me. I have fallen in love with Barcelona...Europe in general and will for sure be back ASAP!!! I am hoping to go back next summer. And what makes the matter even worse is that I have two years left of school. Whyyyyyy...I wish I could just graduate now!!! All I know is that I am going to try my best to go back as soon as I can.

Oh & I totally forgot to tell you guys about the autobahn! Incredible! Amazing! A Thrill! People are crazy! I love driving in Germany!! Next time I am so renting a Porsche or something and fly down that autobahn. We were driving 220km (137mph) & people are flying by us like nothing. The funny thing is that as soon as a traffic sign or anything comes up, everyone slows down. People respect the signs so well its amazing. Sometimes I wonder if that's why there are no speed limits in Germany & if that could work in the states.

Well that's all for now.
Hope everyone had a great day.

Frankfurt to Berlin

Wish I could have stayed in Rothenburg a little longer, but we had to catch our train in Frankfurt to head to Berlin. Frankfurt is like any other big city; tall buildings, business centers, with lots of people everywhere. We stopped by our hotel that we were planing on staying for our last night before heading back to the states. We dropped off all of our luggage; well at least the ones we didn't need. Afterwards, we headed to the main train station to catch our train to Berlin.
Frankfurt Train Station
The train ride took about four and a half hours. I was listening to music and writing lyrics the entire time...so thankful for Ipods. Once we got there, we took a cab to our hotel, which was about 20 min away. My parents were suprised on how far it was from the city center, and thought about changing our hotel; however once we got there we were convinced to stay. The hotel was located in West Berlin (outside wall); the "Beverly Hills" of Berlin. It was basically in an area where all the rich used to live; beautiful neighborhoods with enormous mansions! Our hotel: Alma Berlin- Schlosshotel im Grunewald, is part of the Leading Hotels, and definitely recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Berlin.
Schloss Hotel Berlin
Not that great:pic from our hotel

By the time we got settled into our hotel, it was practically dinner time so we booked dinner at a nice German restaurant a few blocks away from our hotel. It was set outside on a patio; the ambiance was relaxing. Most of the people at the restaurant live around the area and you can tell that they are more high class. The food was delicious..again, there's something about the German potatoes. I don't know what they do to them, but they are just so good!
Asparagus Season: white asparagus with my fav potatoes!
I also had this wonderful sparkling drink with sweet strawberries!
Love the hotel's breakfast! Waffles, Eggs, & Tea
The main reason we visited Berlin was for my dad. He was extremely eager to see the wall because he still remembers the day it got torn down. Being from Cuba, when the wall was torn down, this gave hope to all Cubans, thinking that they would be next. Unfortunately, after 22 years have passed, Cuba is still in the same situation, and all we can do is hope that it will be over soon.

We practically went to all the museums in Berlin; extremely intriguing and emotional. I recommend going to the DDR museum for sure; especially if you have young adults traveling with you.

Berlin Wall Memorial
The wall is absolutely incredible. We went to the wall memorial where they had a timeline of all the events. We also passed by the East Side Gallery, which is an international memorial for freedom. It is 1.3 kl long and consists of 105 paintings by artists from all over the wall.
Thought this looked really funny!
River we walked by
Wiesmann Car: vintage looking
My parents and I were in Berlin for 2 days. We tried to see as much as possible while we were here.

Another restaurant...yummy yummy
Dessert! Apple Strudel
Bears are literally everywhere!
Okay...I think that was pretty much for Berlin. We did
a whole lot of sightseeing and museum touring. I
had a great time and recommend this stop for
anyone who is traveling to Europe. There is a whole lot
of history and the people are a lot of fun.
Other than that, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday with friends
family! I am off to work:p Really wish I could just stay home...
Only one more stop in my Europe trip...well not exactly a stop,
cause I was only there for a night! Alrighty, talk to you guys later!
Make sure to follow me to stay updated!

Touchdown Deutschland!

So today I am taking you to Rothenburg, Germany. North of Fussen, Rothenburg is a well-preserved medieval old town. The town is actually surrounded by a wall, so you have to go through gates to get in...I felt like I was in the movie "A Knight's Tale" (love the movie...RIP Heath Ledger). I have to say, Rothenburg might be my favorite town in Germany. A must-see!!!

When we first got there, I was like, okay so you park outside and then go into the city...haha noooo. The only reason I thought that was because the streets going in (the gates) were so narrow! Can't even fit two cars. We ended up asking some guy...super sincere and he told us to go through and that we would be fine. Haha I thought it was crazy.
This is like the smallest town and there's an R8 chillin' haha
Continuing on, it took us like 30 minutes to find our hotel. Goodness! It was so very confusing inside the walls...one way streets, no trespassing...too much. Finally someone knew where our hotel was and gave us directions.

The hotel was super cute...except one problem...no elevator and of course my mom wanted to take every suitcase up so that we could sort through before we had to return our car in Frankfurt and leave some luggage in the hotel before going to Berlin. We ended up getting the room on the top floor...only four floors, but still hard to bring like 6 huge suitcases up! I felt so bad for the guy who brought them up! Respect for bellmen's!

Once we got settled in, we went to go explore the town. Just like a movie, old looking homes and buildings.
Christmas Store:)
We had a lovely dinner; took us a while to find though because everywhere we went was packed! There was some festival or event going on in the square though, so there were a lot more people than usual.
Yummy Yummy...I don't know what it is with the potatoes in Germany but they are GOOD.
Dessert Time! Cookie Balls!
So that was Rothenburg. I was only there for
a day...definitely wish I was there longer!
Now I'm about to go shopping...window shopping
as I am completely broke.
So glad the week is over!! This week was so long
with classes and work! Happy Friday!
