I was exhausted this morning. Having not worked out in so long and suddenly going back is tough. I hung out by the pool for a bit, but it was so hot that I had to jump and thought I'd make it a workout. I swam a couple of laps...dead. Swimming is the best form of exercise because you use your entire body in sync. My abs were burning after that. Later, I went to the gym. Elliptical Ran Abs

 Day 2. Feeling a bit sore, but good. Since my roomie left that one cookie for me this morning, I ate it and it was delicious, but that meant I had to push myself even harder today.

Had my coffee this morning and two classes. Got a little hungry in between so I had a handful of my nut fixture (unsalted cashews, almonds, dried cranberries). I didn't want my berries to go bad so I made myself a parfait. Now I'm off to class again :/

Back at Strom. Love this gym. I have not worked out since April...and I'm not a runner or a spinner, so I have to take it slow when it comes to exercising. I tend to get a lot of cramps, even though I drink lots of water and my intake on potassium's good; I've always had bad cramps since I was little. I've learned to ease them away and control them through my breathing. 

Since it was my first day back exercising, I started off slow on the treadmill walking briskly for the first five minutes, and speeding up slowly. For the next 25 minutes, I alternated running for a minute, walking for a minute. At some points I ran for two and rested for one. This helps me get back into exercise mode. After that, stretched myself out good, but not too hard; don;t wanna pull any muscles.

3 1/2 months until I'm off to Punta de Mita, Mexico! I'm about to be super fit for this trip, no exceptions. I gained the "freshman 15", not a myth, and I have not been able to lose it thus far. However, that is all about to change. I am determined to lose the rest of the F15 and live a healthy lifestyle, without depriving myself too much. 

For those of you who don't know me, I've been a dancer almost all my life, but I decided to change my career path and have not put on a pair of pointe shoes for almost two years now. I'm short, only about 5'1, which can be a problem when it comes to food. I love love food. Sometimes people consider my blog to be a food blog. Anyways, I like to eat a lot, which is a problem with my stature. As soon as I gain weight, you can see it instantly in my face, thighs...you name it. It sucks being short, but I've learned to appreciate what God gave me. 

So I'm about to start a healthy regimen. Eating healthy and exercising on a daily basis. If I want to look good, I have to push myself. I can't just stare at photos of models and wish I could look like them. You have to put the effort in or there will be no end result. Once you do reach your goal, you'll feel accomplished, when you yourself know that you challenged yourself to get to this spot.

My goal is 100. Let's see if I can do it!
